Abigail is a multidisciplinary artist based in Providence, RI, whose work explores the absurdity of systems, using humor to highlight moments of failure and embarrassment. She approaches her practice through series, creating multiple perspectives of a single moment or event. By immersing the viewer in scenarios such as the chaotic frenzy of a dance marathon fundraiser or the weariness of a foam finger making its way home after its team’s defeat, she aims to capture the emotional complexities and underlying absurdities of human experience. Her process often moves between paintings and objects, creating a space in which the viewer navigates and becomes a part of the narrative.

Parsons received her BA in English from the College of the Holy Cross and a post-baccalaureate certificate from Brandeis University. She is attending the Rhode Island School of Design for her MFA
